What to see in Lisbon

Lisbon is a very beautiful city, it’s amazing discover its beauty walking through its narrow streets or taking its famous tram.

The most famous is surely Tram 28.

It’s always very crowded and there is always a long wait it’s really necessary to have a lot of patience because it really deserves a ride through the narrow streets of Lisbon.

Monastero Dos Jeronimos and Belem Tower

Is located in Belem quarter near Tagus River.

If you’re planning a visit you have to know that it’s close on Monday.

Reaching the Belem Tower an amazing landscape appears right in front of you,

The first thing you’ll see is the Padrão Dos Descobrimentos (Monument of the Discovery), Located along the Tangus River where ships departed to explore India and Orient.

It celebrates the Portuguese Age of Discovery.

Walking along the river you’ll finally reach the famous Belem Tower.

It’s a fortified tower and it’s a UNESCO World Heritage as the Jerónimos Monastery.

The tower was commissioned to be part of a defense system at the mouth of the Tagus River.

After visit the awesome Belem Tower you really need a sweet break, and you can’t miss a visit to the famous Pastéis de Belem where you can taste the best Pastéis in town 😋

Castelo Sao Jorge

Is located on the highest hill of the historic center of Lisbon.

From its courtyard you can see a stunning view of the city.

Bairro Alto

It’s a characteristic quarter in the center of Lisbon, full of typical restaurant where you can taste the delicious Portuguese food and listening to the wrecking Fado.

It’s an incredible experience exploring things city, and the best way to discover the hidden corner is walking around, it’s the perfect way to live this awesome city!

In Lisbon you can also find the oldest library of the world.
